Village Family Success Center is a community based center funded through funds provided by The Department of Children and Families to provide wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis. Family Success Centers offer primary child abuse prevention services to families and bring together concerned community residents, leaders, and community agencies to address the problems that threaten the safety and stability of families and the community. There is no cost to access services provided by Family Success Centers (FSCs).
Village Family Success Center’s purpose is to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families and neighborhoods stronger by implementing programs and services that aim to empower all segments of the community. The Village family success is a trademark of the Jefferson Park Ministries, a well- known agency that has been created in 2002 by the late Catherine R. Saintilien to serve the immigrants community. Our family success Family Success Center is among the first wage of centers that were implemented by the State in 2008 to strengthen families and to promote child welfare in the community. The center has its own identity and operates accordingly to the family support principles.
Village Family Success Center serves many individuals with limited language proficiency, live at or below the poverty level, are marginally employed, unemployed or at risk of unemployment. Village Family Success Center services are universally available to the entire community. Recruiting and engaging new families is not an issue – The center is known throughout the area by word of mouth, by radio, newspaper and community prominence. All of the core services are delivered through the FSC – either directly, or by referrals to service providers.
